The Decadets are a server's guerrilla showing performances drawn from the cyclical and monotonous life of serving in a restaurant. Parodying the backstage secrets of the hospitality industry in London, this revolutionary duo explores the silliness and meaninglessness of a serving life. They wear military jackets to mock the regime imposed by hospitality companies which brainwash and force their cadets to follow robotic steps of service. Most servers lose themselves as they serve, becoming “others.” They might chirp and tweet about customers when in the back yet continuously parrot the same phrases and steps when in the front of house, which is why the Decadets wear bird masks.
